As we look back on this year’s Gala, our hearts are full of pride and gratitude for the incredible dedication of our mayors across Arkansas. This year’s celebration honored the remarkable work these leaders do every day to strengthen communities, uplift residents, and spark meaningful change throughout the state. The evening came alive with a captivating performance by the Westwind School for the Performing Arts, followed by a lively band that set the tone for a night of joy, reflection, and inspiration. One of the evening’s most memorable moments was the fireside chat featuring Phyllis Dickerson, Chief Executive Officer of the African American Mayors Association (AAMA), alongside Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. and Wrightsville Mayor Derrick Rainey. Their conversation went beyond accolades and statistics. They shared personal stories, lessons learned, and visions for building stronger, more resilient communities. This year’s Gala was more than an event; it was a testament to the growth and unity of ABMA.
