Delta Forestry Project

The Arkansas Black Mayors Association is proud to lead the Delta Forestry Project, a transformative initiative dedicated to planting 1,200 trees at community gathering spaces and public schools across five Arkansas Delta counties. Funded through a $250,000 Urban and Community Forestry grant, this project works to lower temperatures, reduce the impact of extreme heat, and strengthen the connection between residents, local governments, and the natural environment. This is ABMA’s commitment to building healthier, more resilient communities for generations to come
